Nessebar is situated 36 km from the city of Burgas, in the southeastern part of Bulgarian Black sea coast. Nessebar is in close proximity to the popular Sunny Beach resort.
Nessebar consists of a new part and an old part of the town. The ancient town is located on a beautiful rocky peninsula that is connected to the mainland via isthmus.
Beach and climate
The resort offers a small beach in the Old town and 2 beaches in the new part of Nessebar. The beaches of Sunny Beach resort are just 2 km from Nessebar. The old town has a romantic atmosphere: tiny squares, narrow cobblestone lanes, 2-storeyed houses with stone-built ground levels and wooden upper floors jutting above the streets and external staircases, pubs and tavern, gift shops and flower gardens.
